What makes Anby suitable to be the mascot in ZZZ?

Have you ever been puzzled as to why Anby is a 4-star character but the mascot of the Zenless Zone Zero?

The first thing we should be aware of is that the miHoYo games' original mascot were normal. For instance, Kiana from Honkai Impact 3rd is a B-rank Valkyrie, March 7th from Honkai: Star Rail is only a four-star, and Genshin Impact's Paimon hasn't even been added to the pool of cards yet.

As the episode continues, though, we learn that Kiana has truly assumed the role of Herrscher of the End-even the basic attacks are FTL. March 7th is referred to as "My Child" by Lumina Court, and up until now, she has been at least a Memory Envoy or even a level of Star God. Paimon, on the other hand, is suggested by many sources to have a significant connection to Celestia, and she is Heavenly Principles.

Does Anby Demara have some powerful identity hidden beneath her seemingly simple surface?

In the official introduction, Anby Demara is a young girl whose age and past are a mystery, as is where she learned her highly efficient fighting style. She was taken in by Nicole in an unexpected incident and joined the Cunning Hares. Anby's behavior and combat performance suggest she has had military training.Which means her past is probably connected to the military.

Let's look at the only military-related character in the game, Soldier 11.

When switching Soldier 11 out in favour of Anby, Soldier 11's Chinese voiceline refers to Anby as 零 líng, "zero" - possibly hinting at a chance that she was known as "Soldier Zero" in the past.

In the former's teaser, Anby's voice can be heard coaching Soldier 11 and giving her advice, while also appearing as a shadow behind her and as a reflection in her sword,which would also explain why it was Anby coaching 11 and not the opposite.

Given that Soldier 11 shares many design similarities with Anby, it seems likely that Soldier 11 is a clone of Anby.

It was even possible that she was a clone of the entire Obol Squad. Obol Squad is a faction in Zenless Zone Zero. It is tied to the New Eridu Defense Force Obsidian Division, and its members must be highly capable elites.

As the mother body of Soldier Zero and an educator, Anby must consequently possess some unidentified, incredibly potent power.
